How your data is handled

This policy explains what personal data Squadmaster processes, why it is processed, and the controls available to you.

Privacy Policy

We process personal data to run core Squadmaster services including account access, profiles, groups, matches, availability tracking, player ratings, notifications, support handling, subscriptions, and donation records.

The main categories of data we process are account identifiers, profile details, match participation records, ratings, group memberships, device tokens for notifications, contact messages, and payment references supplied by Stripe.

Our lawful bases are contract performance for delivering the service you signed up for, legitimate interests in securing and improving the platform, legal obligations for tax/accounting records, and consent where we explicitly ask for it.

For payments, Stripe acts as our payment processor. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Squadmaster. We may also use infrastructure, email delivery, error monitoring, and authentication providers as processors acting on our instructions.

We keep account and operational records only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Our standard baseline retention window is 2555 days unless a shorter deletion cycle or longer legal obligation applies.

You can access export and deletion tools from the Privacy Centre after signing in. Where deletion would otherwise break historical match or group records, we erase direct identifiers and retain only the minimum anonymised history needed for the service to remain coherent for other users.

You can also ask for correction of inaccurate data, object to some processing, or ask questions about international transfers and processors by contacting support@squadmaster.co.uk.
